Dr. Ayesha Begum, daughter of Moulovi Abdul Aziz and Sufia Khanom was born in 1955 at Daudkandi village of Comilla District. Her parents were very generous, benevolent and dedicated to social service at various regards. They had amplitude zeal towards the promotion and development of education.

 

Dr. Ayesha Begum completed her SSC and HSC degree from ‘Kamrunnesa Government Girls’ School’ and ‘Eden Girls’ College’ in 1970 and 1972, respectively. She obtained her Honors and Masters Degree in Bangla Language and Literature from the University of Dhaka. She has been awarded with the nomination under the Fellowship Program and Scholarship granted by the ‘University Grants Commission’ on ‘Adalote Bangla Bhashar Proyog: Ekti Shailigoto Bisleshon’. On the same self-creation she obtained her Ph.D from the same University in 2003. At the same time she completed the senior certificate course on Korean language from the Institute of Modern Languages and attained Diploma Degree on the same language being stayed in Seoul, the capital of South Korea being awarded with a scholarship from the Korean International Co-operation Agency (KOICA). In addition, she has learnt Pharsi language for 1 (one) year in the Iranian Cultural Center.

 

She joined as a lecturer in College in 1980. Among the teachers and students she is incredibly well known for her idiosyncratic, amicable, pleasant behavior and enthusiastic-encouraging-dedicating professionalism. Presently she is acting as Principal of the Dhaka College. Besides, she is a part-time teacher of Department of Bangla Bhasa, Institute of Modern Language. She is President of ‘Banglabhasha Shikhokporishod’, an organization of the teachers of Bangla language. She has great desire of writing ‘short-story’ and ‘Essays’.
